TiconderogaOnline has two copies of Australian Dark Fantasy and Horror 2006, edited by Angela Challis and Shane Jiraiya Cummings, to give away.
We're feeling very much in the spirit of Christmas, and Horror, at TiconderogaOnline, and have enlisted editor Angela Challis to help decorate by by judging this competition. Angela has the only black Christmas tree we've ever seen.
Simply finish the following, in 50 words or less and in as humorous a fashion possible: "A vampire, a zombie and Father Christmas walk into a bar..."
All entries received before 1 January 2007 will be forwarded to Angela Challis, who will pick the best two entries.

A great number of entries were received for this competition. Lee Battersby had a difficult time deciding but eventually found two entries that tickled him.
"Father Muerte and the Choice"
"Resonant, reads well, and presents the reader with an intriguing mystery
before they even get to the first line. This was a title that got me thinking
about what kind of story would fit it, so it rewarded my writer's instincts
straight away."
"Father Muerte and the Supremes"
"I was going to plump for two serious ones, and dispense with jokey titles.
But this one made me absolutely guffaw, and two hours later was the only
one of the 90 I could still remember. It'd be a crime not to reward one
so memorable. Tear-inducingly funny."
Congratulations to Ashley Temple and Nigel Stones for their winning entries, and all other entrants for their efforts.
